We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team, responsible for various accounting tasks with a strong focus on accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting. The successful candidate will possess solid proficiency in Excel, Quickbooks, and/or other accounting software. The role demands ownership, independence, and exceptional organizational skills, as you'll be working closely with US-based clients and must promptly respond to their needs. Flexibility to align working hours with US-based teams is essential.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Maintain day-to-day financial records for management reporting and analytical purposes.
Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements for clients, including month-end close processes, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Implement and enforce policies and procedures to ensure internal controls, asset safeguarding, operational efficiency, and compliance with GAAP accounting standards.
Assist with any necessary administrative or ad-hoc tasks to support the firm and team members.
Requirements:
Minimum 1-2 years of accounting experience.
Previous experience with QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, or other ERP systems preferred.
Bachelor's or associate degree in business or accounting is advantageous.
Proficiency in Google Docs, Gmail, MS Word, and Microsoft Outlook.
Intermediate Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
Keen attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and accountability.
Eagerness to learn and willingness to assume additional responsibilities.
