You will be a member of the Global Business Development team - with a focus on payout and FX Partnerships at Zepz Francophone Africa. The role holder will be responsible for new regional FX deals, as well as supporting business development opportunities & partnership management across the region. The role will also support new markets & products launch, and will contribute to the regional expansion of Zepz in the region.
The role will also entail looking into future potential markets, driving forward business development.
As a member of the Zepz team you will aim high, embrace challenges and always do what’s right; acting with integrity and building trust as you contribute to the company’s strategy and long term decision making.
Your key focus areas
Partner management
Support the business development and FX teams with partner relationship management in existing regional markets across banks, telcos, fintechs and aggregators
Assist in irregular operational escalations ( Recon, Compliance, funding…) to ensure service continuity, work with internal and external stakeholders to solve issues and unblock situations impacting QoS.
Prioritise new partners onboarding and track progress regularly.
Deal making
Identify and select key regional partners to unlock untapped opportunities or improve service delivery and profitability
Source, structure and negotiate commercial partnership arrangements (Payout, Fx & banking deals)
Optimise existing deals, and work with partners to identify ways to grow together, while ensuring that we are compliant with local regulations.
Strategic initiatives
Support Zepz in implementing the regional strategy,
Work extensively with internal stakeholders to drive new initiatives at regional level,
Ad hoc support to improve operational efficiencies and reduce business complexity
What we need from you
Act like an owner with a bias to action
Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
5+ years of relevant experience in payments/remittances required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
Strong initiative and a get-it-done attitude.
Client focused, proactive and results oriented with ability to support clients across multiple locations
Inclusivity: proven track record of successful cross-functional collaboration to achieve complicated business objectives
