Job Description
Responsibilities:
Installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, performance monitoring, tuning and troubleshooting of Comarch BSS, including the following modules: Product Catalog, Billing, Billing Mediation;
Keeping an eye on system jobs, understanding error logs, investigating any data issues, and resolve runtime problems;
Interfaces monitoring;
Manage backups and restores, disaster recovery, high availability of systems.
Develop a deep understanding of the billing platform and look for ways to improve its use in daily operations.
Help set up data connections and integrations to ensure smooth data flow from start to finish, and take technical ownership of the system after go-live.
Participate in discussions around expanding the technical team for further implementation in European markets, helping to define roles and responsibilities as needed.
Manage and satisfy audit controls.
Security experience is required.
Effectively interface and collaborate with other tech teams, including infrastructure and security teams.
Participate in on-call rotation.
Stay abreast of BSS roadmaps, development to help improve current platform.
Leading Proof of Concept and guiding team on billing system technology possibilities
Create and maintain team documentation leading to best practices, standardization and service desk support.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience working in Comarch BSS.
Experience working with BSS Comarch system in modules Product Catalog, Billing, and Billing Mediation.
Working knowledge of Product Catalog architecture, understanding concept of specification, offering, usage and other entities
Comfortable using SQL (coding) to check data, track records, and solve problems.
Knowledge of how data flows and experience with integration tools (like Apache Camel or similar).
Proven experience with integrating multiple enterprise systems such as CRM, ERP, data warehouses, and event streaming platforms.
Hands-on experience with complex backend systems (not necessarily billing systems, but something like ERP or financial platforms).
Understanding of billing processes, including invoicing, rating, and usage-based billing would be an asset.
Familiarity with server-side scripting, batch processing, and generating documents and outputs.
Comfortable discussing logs, system settings, processing delays, and performance optimization.
Ability to understand technical documentation and ask questions or challenge assumptions when needed.
Familiarity with data privacy principles and standards, such as GDPR.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, to translate complex technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical parties.
Effective at managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
Strong analytical and technical communication skills.
Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of personnel, both in person and on the telephone (English is a must).
Capable of paying close attention to complex details and understanding written and oral instructions.
Competent in organizing and scheduling work effectively.
Skilled at working well under time constraints.
Able to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities and communicate changes in scope and schedule to all parties concerned.
Must be able to work independently.
Willingness to work flexible hours.
Experience in collaborating with or managing external teams on system integration projects.
