Passage is seeking a backend engineer to join our development team. You will be responsible for evolving our developer facing APIs and building clean, scalable backend systems for new feature delivery. This is a unique opportunity to be an early stage engineer at Passage, shaping our trajectory as a company.

What we're looking for:

• Production experience building distributed backend services

• Production experience building highly available and performant backend features Experience building external developer APIs

• You value ownership and enjoy room to make your own decisions - we’re a startup and trust everyone’s best judgment to keep a fast pace

What you can expect:

• Building new backend features in Go

• Focus on an API first development approach and early collaboration with front-end developers

• Opportunities for growth back by a strong group of senior developers

• A flexible roadmap dictated by customer feedback 

Bonus points for:

• Experience working in a fast past startup culture

• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, GCP or AWS

• Production experience with Go

• Experience implementing authentication protocols

United States-based roles only: The Annual salary for this role is between $115,000USD and $155,000USD, plus immediate participation in 1Password’s benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs. All employees are owners of 1Password and receive an equity grant as part of their total package.
