Associate Creative Director - Performance Marketing
As Associate Creative Director, Performance Marketing, you’ll lead the creative engine that grows Pinterest, globally. You’ll guide and partner with a multi‑disciplinary team—designers, writers, producers, etc.—to concept, test, and scale culturally relevant work across a variety of social channels. From motion to UGC to thumb‑stopping static, you’ll turn insights into cohesive ideas that drive MAU and brand love. You’ll co‑own briefs, push the craft, read the data, and iterate fast. And you’ll champion responsible, human‑centered AI to unlock new ways we create world‑class work that works.
What you’ll do:
Lead a talented design + writing + motion team across all phases of projects from brief through delivery for UCAN and global regions.
Develop performance/ROI-driven creative: Design and optimize ads for paid social (Meta/IG, TikTok, Snap, X, YouTube), DSPs, and in-app placements.
Lead end-to-end creative development across internal teams and external vendors—partnering with Producers on resourcing and timelines and with Growth Marketing/cross‑functional partners to deliver brand‑forward, big‑idea work that’s measurable, testable, and drives performance.Leverage data and creative insights to optimize strategy, messaging, and overall creative process.
Research and forecast new and emerging trends for evergreen campaigns.
Craft compelling stories, using key user insights to inform concepts and storytelling.
Represent the thinking behind your team’s work to key stakeholders, creative directors and team members.
Ensure that projects are always on-brand and on-track, despite tight deadlines.
Cultivate a positive, healthy, and high performing team culture.
What we’re looking for:
8+ years of experience in design with an emphasis in performance marketing creative preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Marketing, Design or equivalent experience.
An expert in art direction and writing craft, composition, video creation, motion design and UGC creative.
An inspirational leader who can motivate the team, but delights in doing the work. An accomplished manager with a player/coach mentality.
Art meets science: Someone with strong visual communication skills who can think strategically about how to educate and drive interest with a heavy reliance on data.
An expert collaborator: A creative with deep experience working with writing partners to develop concepts, through to execution.
A long track record of working quickly and efficiently, and keeping pace in a lightning-fast environment.
Strong working knowledge in creative best practices across social channels that drives acquisition.
Full proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and AI tools like Runway, Sora, Google Veo, Adobe Firefly.
In-Office Requirement Statement:

This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration 1-2 times every six months and therefore can be situated anywhere in the country.
