Assistant Controller
About the Role
As our Assistant Controller, you’ll be responsible for the integrity of financial statements and reporting , compliance with tax and audit standards, treasury and cashflow management.
What You’ll Do:
Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with US GAAP, including owning the month-end workbook and establishing monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements.
Review and approve payroll, provide variance analysis, own treasury function
Serve as go to contact for Corporate tax, Sales tax and Audit engagements ensuring compliance with all authorities.
Work closely with the Director of Finance on global expansion and operational initiatives.
Redesign and oversee AR, AP and Treasury processes for automated streamlined workflows
Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy in reporting.
Develop a team with a culture of high performance
What You Bring:
5+ years of experience in accounting, 2+ years of management experience.
Familiarity with tools like QBO, Brex, Plooto, Intacct, Netsuite is an asset.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote environment
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
CPA or similar certification is a plus (Canada)
Experience in Multi-Entity , Multi Currency Environment
Experience in Audit and Tax Engagements
