Who we are

Brivity VA, a brand of PLACE, is looking for a self-starting Accounting Assistant to support a growing real estate brokerage committed to delivering top-notch service to its clients. This role will be responsible for providing day-to-day accounting and administrative support to ensure accurate financial records and smooth workflow. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working with accounting software and digital tools commonly used in real estate operations.

 What is expected of you

  • Assist with daily accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.

  • Maintain accurate records of transactions and financial documents in QuickBooks and Dropbox.

  • Support payroll preparation and expense tracking.

  • Prepare and organize financial reports for management.

  • Assist with tax documentation and compliance reporting.

  • Use Asana and Hubspot to manage accounting workflows, deadlines, and projects.

  • Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and ensure accuracy.

  • Provide general administrative support as needed

What you need to possess

  • 1–3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related role (real estate industry experience a plus).

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Asana, Dropbox, and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

How you can join the team 

Our selection and assessment process is not for the faint of heart. It is tedious but just. It takes some time but it is absolutely worth it as it sets you up for success from Day 1. 

Step 1: Career Consultation | In this step, you meet with our career consultants for about 30-45 minutes to discuss the job opportunities in our organization relative to the ones you are looking for. We also make sure that you have the right technology to carry out the job from the comfort of your home. 

Step 2: References | In this step, we will be reaching out to your previous supervisors to find out how best we can support you to ensure your success in this role. 

Step 3: Client Introduction | You will be given the opportunity to meet with our Accounting Team. During this time, you are empowered to assess the opportunity we present to you. Our intention is to make sure you have all the information you need to make an informed decision.
