Job Description

THE POSITION:  

As an Account Manager, you plan and support projects and campaigns across a variety of marketing channels with cross-functional agency teams, delivering them on time, on budget, and aligned with the project brief (or strategy).  You contribute to the development of sound cross-agency relationships and are a champion of internal agency processes.  

Throughout this role, you become more confident in communicating with and presenting to clients and establish strong client relationships.   

You plan and implement projects and campaigns across a diverse set of marketing channels with cross-functional agency teams and deliver them on time and on budget. As an Account Manager, you contribute to the development of sound client and partner agency relationships over time and support senior-level account staff who own the macro-view of all client workstreams.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Our employees are tasked with delivering excellent business results through the efforts of their teams.  We are looking for someone who can: 

  • Responsible for less strategic projects and reporting initiatives (i.e., monthly/weekly dashboards).   

  • Responsible for finished product/service – from the creation of comprehensive projects plans through submissions for regulatory review and launch  

  • Demonstrate confidence and contribute thoughtfully to internal and external meetings   

  • Anticipate next steps and ensure adherence to the process   

  • Ensure qualitative and timely delivery of our client activities   

  • Stay updated on your clients’ activities and strategy, to make sure our proposals are tailored to their needs   

  • Work with SAM/AD to set and meet delivery expectations   

  • Take responsibility for consistently monitoring active projects for your clients, as well as being on the lookout for new opportunities   

  • Prepare client proposal decks and quotations for less strategic projects  

  • Proactively look for business growth with existing clients, and prospects involving supervisor/manager in the discussion as appropriate   

  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias 

  • All other duties as assigned  

EXPECTATIONS OF THE JOB: 

  • Travel: (not frequent: domestic and international) 

  • Hours: (minimum 40 hours per week) 

Qualifications

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 

The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.  

  • High level of accountability and ownership of actions regarding the project while building trusted relationships with the cross-functional teams  

  • Native/ fluent English a must, additional languages welcome  

  • Dedicated to ensuring high quality for all work and deliverables (i.e., reviewing materials thoroughly, editing reads, ensuring all questions are answered, outlining risk)  

  • Able to develop, submit, and present agency work for client regulatory review and route for submission process  

  • Able to perform financial management, reconciliation, and tracking  

  • Client service-oriented with proven relationship-building skills  

  • Proven organizational and time management skills with strong multitasking and problem-solving acumen  

  • Able to identify business development opportunities and escalate to senior account team accordingly  

  • Able to prioritize, delegate and provide direction to others when appropriate  

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills  

  • Collaborative, adaptable – able to work in an ever-changing environment and possess quick decision-making skills  

  • Able to work both independently and in a team environment  

  • Goes the extra mile to exceed expectations  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree ideally in communication/marketing, economy, biology/pharmacy and/or other scientific pathway  

  • Approximately 2 to 5 years of related industry experience; digital and/or traditional advertising agency experience preferred. Pharmaceutical and digital experience is a plus.
