The mission of a Syndigo Business Development Executive is to drive revenue growth of Health and Wellness team by identifying new buying centers, educating clients on the value of our products, and developing outreach strategies . The Business Development Executive will be instrumental in developing, refining, and expanding Syndigo’s growth strategy for pharmaceutical and clinical research organizations.
In addition to strategic growth in healthcare, you will be identifying and reaching out to companies who are suitable candidates for Syndigo’s other Nutrition & Wellness solutions, including nutrition analysis software for restaurants and manufacturers, as well as Nutrition APIs for developers and AI platforms. To supplement these outbound strategies, you will also be responsible for running inbound leads for all nutrition and wellness products.
This role requires a background in business development, ideally selling technical solutions, SaaS solutions, and subscription-based solutions. Strong communications skills, excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to start, develop, and nurture relationships, and technical acumen are important to the success of this role.
HOW WE'LL BE WINNING TOGETHER DAY TO DAY
Generate leads through professional networking and cold calling techniques
Prospecting and building new business opportunities
Ability to understand prospect needs and effectively communicate value proposition to prospects
Utilize a consultative sales approach to close opportunities with senior level executives
Work with internal resources to ensure efficient set up and delivery of contracts systems
Initiate and build prospect relationships
Coordinate and schedule online and onsite meetings of key decision makers
Negotiate and participate in pricing strategy
Negotiate contract terms within the acceptable guidelines provided by Syndigo
Develop prospect account strategy and plan
Coordinate plans to include internal support of objectives
Own and manage pipeline in Salesforce.com
WE SHOULD TALK IF THIS SOUNDS LIKE YOU:
3+ years enterprise B2B sales experience; proven track record of selling data-driven solutions or SaaS products.
Experience in selling services with database or API a plus
Experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or clinical research sales highly preferred.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
Strong personal interest in the following areas is a huge plus:
Nutrition transparency
Quantified-self (food and activity tracking)
Interest in technology, especially mobile technology
