Imgix is a chief platform for real-time visual media management, optimization, and delivery services. Our innovative technology empowers businesses to deliver high-quality visual experiences to their customers across various platforms and devices, anywhere in the world.

The Account Executive (AE) plays a critical role as the quarterback of Imgix’s revenue growth by converting new business and driving expansion and upsells within a defined sales territory. AEs are responsible for the full sales cycle process from discovery to close within their book of business. AEs at Imgix are responsible for generating and maintaining a healthy pipeline of opportunities through their own prospecting activities.

The AE role is measured on ACV or Annual Contract Value. ACV is defined as the amount of new Annual Contract Value as a result of a new service order being executed. In a simple example, if a customer has $10k of existing spend (self-service or contracted) and a new service order is executed that raises the customer’s annualized spend to $25k the ACV on that opportunity is $15k

This is a fully remote position.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, engage, and qualify new business opportunities through outbound prospecting (email, phone, LinkedIn, etc.)

  • Identify, engage, and qualify expansion, upsell and renewal opportunities

  • Conduct deep discovery to understand a customer’s business model and pains

  • Partner with BDRs on a prospecting and outreach strategy to generate new business opportunities

  • Partner with CSMs on accounts with existing spend for a compelling growth and expansion strategy

  • Maintain a consistent volume of top-of-funnel activity (calls, sequences, meetings)

  • Skillfully guide prospects through the buying process, taking ownership at every stage

  • Act a product and industry expert, regarded as a valued strategic advisor by your customers and peers

  • Maintain salesforce hygiene and display best in class forecast accuracy

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years in SaaS sales with experience owning quotas and closing business.

  • Familiarity with SaaS and B2B business environments.

  • Proficiency with core sales tools, particularly Salesforce, Gong, Outreach, Slack and Google Workspace tools including Docs, Sheets, and Slides.

  • Experience/comfortable selling a technical solution to a technical audience.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with some exposure to presenting to technical teams and decision-makers in enterprise-level organizations.

  • While not mandatory, previous experience or knowledge in the areas of images, Content Delivery Networks (CDNs), Digital Asset Management (DAMs), and website performance is highly beneficial.

  • Basic understanding of or experience with Codepen and HTML is a plus.

  • Willingness to engage in occasional travel for client meetings, conferences, and related events.

The targeted base pay for this position is $112,500–$130,000. In addition to base pay, the on-target earnings (OTE) range from $225,000–$260,000 annually, which includes a variable incentive component that provides additional potential for earnings beyond the base salary. In addition to base pay, the on-target earnings also consist of a significant bonus component, providing additional potential for earnings beyond the base salary. Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training. The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits.

Imgix currently operates as a mostly remote workplace with employees distributed around the world. This role can be remote, with the option of being based in our San Francisco office as frequently as desired.
