Spanish Translation Support Specialist

Bromberg & Associates is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Spanish Translator to join our internal language services team. The Spanish Translator will be responsible for translating, reviewing, editing, and proofreading written materials from English into Spanish and Spanish into English, while ensuring accuracy, cultural appropriateness, consistency, and compliance with client-specific requirements.
This role requires strong linguistic ability, excellent writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have professional translation experience, strong terminology research skills, and familiarity with translation quality standards and translation tools and technology.
Key Responsibilities
Translate written documents between English and Spanish and Spanish into English accurately and clearly.
Review, edit, and proofread translations for grammar, terminology, formatting, consistency, and overall quality.
Ensure that translations reflect the meaning, tone, and intent of the original source text.
Follow client-specific instructions, glossaries, style guides, and formatting requirements.
Conduct terminology research to ensure proper use of industry-specific language.
Maintain confidentiality of all client documents and company information.
Collaborate with project managers, editors, and other internal team members to meet deadlines and quality expectations.
Assist with quality assurance checks and revisions as needed.
Maintain accurate records of assigned projects and completed work.
Support the development and maintenance of glossaries, translation memories, and language resources.
Provide feedback or flag concerns when source content is unclear, incomplete, or requires client clarification.
Required Qualifications
Fluency in English and Spanish, with excellent written communication skills in both languages.
Proven experience translating professional, legal, medical, educational, government, business, or technical documents.
Strong understanding of grammar, spelling, punctuation, tone, and style in both English and Spanish.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong research and problem-solving skills.
Ability to follow instructions, style guides, glossaries, and client-specific requirements.
High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and reliability.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
Proficiency in using CAT tools and translation technology.
Preferred Qualifications
Degree in translation, linguistics, Spanish, English, or a related field.
Experience working in the language services industry.
Prior experience with quality assurance or translation review.
