We're looking for a Short Term Accountant to join Shippo’s Finance Team and directly support our sales and strategic partner teams working directly with our Revenue Manager. This is a frontline operational finance position with a high degree of impact on partner billing and new customer contract setup, as well as existing customer contract changes. 

We are a service organization that strives to exceed our “customers” expectations. You’ll be responsible for processing customer contracts from Salesforce into NetSuite, and take the lead on resolving issues, in coordination with the Revenue Manager.

We’re looking for someone with a bias for action, a sharp point of view, and a track record of driving real performance gains—not just partnering in name, but rolling up their sleeves to make things better.

Shipping & Handling Responsibilities

• Support fast-paced growth with a flexible mindset including over order-to-cash operations, including customer billing and contract setup and maintenance in NetSuite

• Actively participate in monthly close activities including preparing journal entries and supporting schedules, performing flux analyses and reconciliations, as needed

• Thrive in ambiguity with the ability to reprioritize based on many business needs

• Support annual audits performed by external auditors

• Continuously improve business processes, systems, and enhance documentation and controls

• Complete special projects as needed

Do you tick the boxes?

• 2+ years of experience in an accounting role, ideally with time spent in fast-paced tech environments

• Tech savvy with strong Excel and/or Google Sheets skills

• Clear, concise communicator who can flex between tactical and strategic conversations without losing the thread

• High ownership and follow-through—you track things, close loops, and bring rigor without needing reminders

• You’re respected because you bring value, not because of your title

• Advanced or Fluent English communication

Bonus if you have

• Experience working closely with sales teams in tech environments
